Our story

Where coffee
meets cats

A cat café is a place where a love of cats meets a love of coffee. Koci Zakątek Cafe is the first cat café in Szczecin, Poland — open at Śląska 5 since November 2023.

Our passion for these fluffy creatures drives us to help cats in need — and to create a cosy space where coffee lovers can enjoy a great drink and a sweet treat.

At our café, a cosy atmosphere and animal welfare go hand in hand. We are not only a meeting place for coffee lovers, but also a place where cats get a second chance.

Our mission

What drives us every day

We want to do more than serve great coffee — we want to share our love of cats and promote animal adoption.

Foster home

All the cats in our café were rescued by TOZ Szczecin, ZTZ or other organisations. We give them a safe, loving home until they find a permanent one.

Adoption with heart

Every adoption is a big event for us. We make sure each cat goes to the right home — that is why our adoption process is thorough.

Everyone who visits becomes part of a special community where a good heart meets the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

Cat know-how

Working every day with cats from our partner organisations has taught us to read feline behaviour. We share this knowledge with cat owners through our behaviour consultations (available in Polish).

We cover all the cats’ costs

Vet care, food, rehabilitation — we organise and pay for everything ourselves. This frees up space and resources at TOZ Szczecin and ZTZ, so they can take in more homeless animals.

Visit rules

House rules

A few simple rules help both cats and guests feel at home. Please read them before your visit.

1The café is open only to guests aged 13 and over.
2Please do not pick up or carry the cats.
3Do not wake or disturb sleeping cats.
4Do not feed the cats — they have their own food.
5Please take photos without flash.
6Guests may not bring their own animals.
7Play with the cats only using the toys available in the café.
8Do not play with the cats at height.
9Please keep calm and quiet so the cats are not stressed.
10Staff may end a visit if a guest does not follow the rules or is stressing the animals.
